In Memory of Constable Mark Stachurski
D.A.R.E. Officer (1998 – 2001)

On March 19, 2016, Constable Mark Stachurski, a 29-year veteran of the Brantford Police Service, passed away while vacationing in Cuba.

Mark taught the D.A.R.E. curriculum to grade-6 students from 1998 to 2001. His big heart and easy-going manner made him a popular member of the school community. Later on, Mark had an opportunity to reconnect with many of his former D.A.R.E. students while serving as a High School Resource Officer from 2002 – 2005.

Mark had a positive impact on the lives of many youths in this community; simply put, this officer and gentleman truly made a difference.

Members of the T.I.C.K. Board extend their heartfelt sympathy to Mark’s family, especially his children, Katrina and Andrew.
